I've been meaning to upgrade from a HD 4850 to a 7850 2gb, but I also found that the GTX 660 was at the same price range, so I'm having trouble picking between the two.

I just play games, such as Deus Ex Human Revolution, Bioshock infinite, Batman Arkham City, Witcher 2, PlanetSide 2, Skyrim etc. I would like to play these at medium/high at 1920x1080 if possible at a decent fps, somewhere between 40-60.

System specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte M68MT-S2
CPU: AMD FX-4100 3.6ghz (stock fan)
GPU: HD-4850
RAM: 2x4 DDR3 1333Mhz
PSU: Crusade 750W Dual-Rail High Efficiency '80 Plus' Power Supply

Which one should I get?

I was comparing the 2gb XFX double D 7850/ 2gb Radeon Gigabyte overclocked 7850 to the MSI GeForce GTX 660 Twin Frozr III 2gb/ Asus GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC. So somewhere in the price range of £150-£170

Between those 2, if they are similarly priced, DEFINITELY get the MSI GTX660. Its a much better quality card with great cooling and its much quieter than the XFX.

Even the 2 GB version of the 7850 can be found for a little less than the GTX-660 but the price is close. But I heard that with latest Catalyst drivers update the AMD cards perform better in general for the price (bang for the bucks). And if you look at the latest Tom's Hardware Best Card for the Money, in the 185$ to 280$ range they don't even mention the GTX-660 anymore, instead it's two Radeon cards that are there:

Since the games you want to play are quite demanding, if you can stretch your budget a little bit I'd go for the 7870 or even the 7870 LE.
