I recently acquired my brothers old Insipron 530. He spent close to $300 on upgrading it. He bought a new graphics card, a processer, and a power supply. He was just given a new computer as a gift from my parents on his way to college. He left everything in the computer except his graphics card so I need to upgrade it before I can run anything on it. I was wondering if this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162113 will run on my computer. Also, what I plan to use this for is mainly games. I am a big player of league of legends, DOTA 2, and Skyrim. Could this graphics card run these games well? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Right now the graphics card is basically nonexistent. It is the original card that came with the com and its so bad I can't even start a loading to screen to anything. I'm not really looking for a high end card, I just want something that can run mediocre games with a decent fps and that will last.

Hi, Will try to be clear.
My last PC had i5 CPU and had GT 440GT GPU i Had no problems running ModerWarfare2 and League of Legends. But when it comes to Skyrim I had problems running at Medium 1400x900 settings usually had 30-40fps but in many places like College OF Winterhold... it drops to 20-30fps. The GT 640 is simillar to GT 440 you will have problems running at medium-high at 1400x900. So I highly recomend you getting a GTX 650 or GTX 650Ti.
The GTX650 will run the game at high settings at 1920x1080.

Thanks for that, as for the problems that will not really matter to me. 20-40 fps is pretty good for me. After 30 I stop noticing a difference. Thanks for the input.
