Hi I just bought a Sapphire Radeon 7750 to go with my Gigabyte GA-Z77 mobo.

With the Radeon 7750 locked in place, the system runs (CPU fan and HDD) but the VGA fan doesn't and I get no screen display.

After taking out the card, I do get monitor display.

I am certain that this isn't a power issue as my PSU supports up to 500 watts and the Radeon 7750 isn't supposed to be a power hog.

So that leaves me wondering what else could be wrong. Maybe I'm just unlucky to get a faulty card?

I'm using an old Lenovo LCD monitor and I plugged the display cable into the mobo instead of the VGA panel. Does that cause the card to not run at all?

I'm not sure if I should send it back to the retailer as I don't really know what's wrong with the card itself.

I'm not sure why the onboard video won't work, but you need to plug the display into the card, not into the motherboard.

Oh, I'll have to get a new monitor to sort that out :/

Though, even if no display cable is plugged in, should the card still be able to run?

Sorry I went to bed last night. I posted that around 1am local time.

It's odd that the cards fan doesn't spin up. I glossed over that the first time. What do you mean you'd need a new monitor? I assume your LCD plugs in with this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d6/D_Su...

Your card should have come with this: http://www.technoa.co.kr/content/powerreview/monitor/EI...

That lets you connect D-Sub to DVI so that your older monitor will work.
