Yes, a i7 and 7950 will make a great gaming computer.

The i7 is overkill, get a i5-3570k. Also I dont see the need for another 200mm fan. The haf 922 already comes with 2x200mm fans and 1 140mm fan.

the extra fan is for the side to cool the motherboard directly and im only getting the i7 becuase i can get it for 240 but will this beable to run most games on max?

You will have to check see if you have enough clearance to install the 200mm fan once you have installed the gpu. The i5-3570k will perform very very close to the i7. It is all you need.

i scratched the extra fan and fan controller for now but is the mobo good? and i can get the i7 for the same price as the i5
