Any other differences between the FX 4100 and FX 4170 besides the clockspeed?

And I know that the FX 6200 has a bit more of cache compared to the FX 6100, but I was wondering if I would actually notice any differences between their performance when it comes to gaming if I overclock the FX 6100 to 4.2 ghz.

I also know that the 6300 is a better buy, but for 10 extra fps in gaming (compared to the FX 6200 according to most benchmarks I came across), I'd rather get the old cpus that are currently on sale where I live (1/2 the price of the FX 6300) and get a much better GPU.

If you can get the FX6200 for half the money of the FX6300 you'd be a fool not to buy the FX6200...for that much savings. The FX6200 is 95% of the chip the FX6300 is...and you can spend the extra $60-70 to go to a HD 7850/HD7870 instead of a HD 7770

The difference is going to be the FX6300 has 6 integer cores and 3 FPUs as do the 6100/6200, though the IEP for the 6300 is better, you'll be fine with a 6200.

The 4100/4170/4300/4350 all have 4 integer cores and 2 FPUs. This basically makes the FX6XXX series about 150% of the CPU the FX4XXX series is...and makes it a much better buy for the money.
