I went to play an old game and needed to switch my monitor to 4:3 mode, and realized that the option for aspect control on my monitor is locked. I read an old thread here that said that what options are available depend on what Asus "Splendid" mode you are in, but no matter WHAT mode you are in the Aspect Control is ALWAYS locked. I used it once when I was connected by HDMI, but I had other issues with HDMI related to me running games at resolutions lower than the monitor, so I switched to an HDMI to DVI cable (HDMI output from laptop to DVI input on monitor) and the option is gone now.
[strike]Edit: New problem, I did something and now brightness and contrast are also greyed out in all modes. [/strike] Solved that one, I accidentally turned on something called eco mode.
Ignore the dimness of the image.. I used manual exposure on my camera to get a clear picture of the screen.
