That is the base specs of my pc. Now the hdd i am using is an old ide drive i've had for years using a ide to sata converter. But i'm looking to upgrade from it to a newer one. I would love to get one that is 500 gig plus sized hdd but have been out of the loop on trusted brands that are dependable.

So i'm looking for the best cheapest i can get. i'm wanting to keep it below $70 and as cheap as i can get. I'm also wanting to know i can count on the hdd meaning that it is dependable. I can go to a lesser sized hdd if need be. Just looking for others opinions on which hdd would be best to order and whether or not there are any great deals. I live in the US so looking to get the best deal. And no i do not have any pc stores near by at all. So any ideas and help is appreciated.

That pc is already built. And the motherboard is a sata 2 meaning i do not think the 6 gb sata drive you suggested will be compatible. I built this pc to replace my other that died suddenly so i was on a tight budget and pushed it the best i could. I plan to do a much better rebuild later on but right now i'm slowly replacing old pc parts in my previous build that died suddenly. I'm now using the hdd from my old build i had for 6 years so looking to upgrade the hdd to a newer one. I'm not looking to do a full new build until this one is done if you can understand that.

I'm just concerned as it is refurbished. 500+ gb would be ideal but i'd settle for less if need be to save a bit now and add more storage later. i just want to replace my old hdd before it gives out lol The one i have now is a 320gb WD. Although it only shows 298 >_< And while i've came close to filling it a few times i've yet to fill it fully so its not that i need 500+ gb it just be nice if i can swing it. I'm just looking to get the besty bang for my buck while also going as cheap as i can. So with this in mind any suggestions? I know i said $70 but would love to keep it under $50 if possible or cheaper.
