hello, I am fairly new to building a pc and first time posting something in a community like this. I just built a pc and I really need some help with it. the specs are
windows 8 pro 64bit
amd a10 processor
biostar a85w hi-fi motherboard
g skill rip jaws 1600( one 8GB stick)
700w psu
a dvd drive and hard drive that got from a dell pc

I just ran the windows experience index and this is my result

Processor AMD A10-5800K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 7.3
Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB 7.3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 7660D 4.6
Gaming graphics 4076 MB Total available graphics memory 6.3
Primary hard disk 602GB Free (699GB Total) 5.9
Windows 8 Pro

Manufacturer BIOSTAR Group
Model Hi-Fi A85W
Total amount of system memory 8.00 GB RAM
System type 64-bit operating system
Number of processor cores 2

Display adapter type AMD Radeon HD 7660D
Total available graphics memory 4076 MB
Dedicated graphics memory 512 MB
Dedicated system memory 0 MB
Shared system memory 3564 MB
Display adapter driver version 9.12.0.0
Primary monitor resolution 1440x900
DirectX version DirectX 11 or better

my questions are
1) why do i have such a low score for desktop graphics? is it normal? is there anything wrong with the processor?
2) for the "number of processor core" part, why is it showing only 2? isn't suppose to be 4 since it is a quadcore?
please excuse me if these are really dumb questions. and thank you for reading and any help that you can provide
thanks...

Yes the APU is not very powerful in terms of today's graphical performance that is about were it should be placing.

It is odd that it would only show 2 cores... maybe you should check your BIOS to make sure everything is there. If not call your mobo manufacturer and RMA it.. talk to support of course since this is such an informal setting.

Hi, yes it does make since that the integrated graphics score would be a little low. The dedicated graphics on that cpu can be compared to around a 6670. as for the cores. Can you please instal cpu-z and see if that is reading your cpu as 4 cores. a couple other questions

-Have you upgraded to this apu recently or always had it?
-Do you know how to enter the bios to make sure there isnt a setting to enable all 4 cores.

hey thanks for the reply and sorry about my late reply. been a bit busy with some stuff
so, you are saying that it is ok that the graphics score is low.
about cores, i ran the cpu Z and it shows there is 4 cores and 4 threads. and i checked the bios and there is nothing that talks about number of cores. i took a look at the device manager and it shows there is 4 processors
so what is your opinion on this?
thanks
