Also, just get the power powerful radeon that fits your price range - in your case, a 7750.

Depends on what exactly you mean here - if we're talking about cards that cost the same, go for the 7k series.

why is HD7750 lower in performance than HD6850(and above) cards?
site: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/535?vs=539
Because you're comparing a $100 card to one which costs $150 (and above.)
Generally the new graphics cards will be slightly faster than a card of the old generation two notches above it in the pricing / hierarchy. (So a 660 beats a 570, a 660ti beats a 580, ect... note that this doesn't apply to dual-chip cards like the 590.)

Considering that the 6770 is completely discontinued, I'd say it doesn't much matter... especially since the 7750 is better, quieter, and uses less power.
The Radeon HD 7750 is more or less equal to the Radeon HD 6770 in performance. The biggest difference it in power consumption. The Radeon HD 7750 will work fine with an average 300w power supply. For the HD 6770 you will need a 375w PSU.
The HD 7750 is your best bet, it is faster and consumes less power and will be better overall for your build. It can Run FC3 @1080p with a few medium settings, which is impressive considering it's low end.
This GPU would probably be your best deal. It's enough for what you'll need it for and it comes with FC3 coupon as long as purchased together.
the hd 7770 has similar performance to the hd 6850 and is around 110 dollars and you also get far cry 3 for free while also consuming low power. Why not go with it
