So I'm putting together a build everything was fine but I didn't have a gpu yet, bought my 660 ti msi pe. booted up the computer downloaded drivers and it crashed my ssd (positive) so I went and got a hdd booted from a previous state. Now I go to boot I get the windows 7 loading screen but before I can get to the log in it says no signal and gives me a black screen. what could be causing this? please help

have you tried plugging your port back into your motherboard and booting up to cancel out the gpu and make sure everything else is running good?, if it does boot into windows Look at your graphics drivers under device manager, and make sure you have the graphics cards drivers installed correctly. Also did you uninstall the integrated graphics drivers before installing the 660ti's graphic drivers?

Yes I have, finally got it to work but it isn't consistent. I didn't uninstall intel hd 4000 graphics, I did disable it, as far as the ssd is concerned my motherboard will not locate it at all. I even tried the launch windows 7 trick. Now its still just loading windows 7 then black screen no signal. When I had it working it was working fine, games and all. I don't need to restore windows do I, completely?

I reinstalled windows, disabled intel hd 4000 updated my 660ti driver from NVidia, changed bios to boot from pci express and still no signal. it goes to windows 7 screen boots then no signal, I can boot in safe mode no problem. I'm not sure what the issue is, ive tried different hdmi cables
