To sum it up, I got a sabertooth x79 with gskill F3-1866C9Q-32GXM. Cpu-z shows my frequency at 667 and my bios 1872 because i manually set it to 1866. i realise now that neither gskill or asus have either model on each others QVL. I'm I safe, or is this affecting my performance in some way?

The QVL exists so that manufacturers can say they've tested certain sets and will provide support for those specific sets. Just because they don't appear on each other's lists doesn't mean they won't work, it just means the manufacturer may not support any issues that come up with it.

In short, if it's working fine, then you probably don't have anything to worry about.
