Hello i am looking for a great color correct monitor but also really nice for gaming. I do a lot of work in the computer graphics field so i need a great color correct( close to it) monitor but also want something that is good for video playback and also gaming.


I am currently looking at the DELL U2413

I was considering the NEC EA244WMI but it has PWM issues.


Maybe the new ASUS PA249Q when it comes out????

I am worried about video playback and gaming. Does anyone has any other suggestions or which one is the best of both worlds?

The Dell U series make great photo and video editing monitors for non-professionals on a budget and pretty good gaming monitors..... have one upstairs. But if I'm gonna go gaming .... I'd rather use the Asus 120 Hz TN pane in the next room. The TN is however, too bright and too color saturated "outta the box" for editing. OTOH, in gaming the IPS panel looksa lil flat and washed out.

hey thanks for the fast response. I added two monitors into the mix. Do you think the Dell is still the best? I have liked Dell monitors before but opening it up a bit at my choices.
