i5 3570K Evo 212 temps

ASrock z77 extreme 4 mobo
Antec p208 case (2 120mm fans on tops pulling out, 1 on bottom pushing up)
Evo 212 (blowing straight to the 2 fans on top)
i5 3570K
artic silver 5 paste

Been running Prime95 for about an hour now @4.4, and the temp is rock stable at 77/78 (according to the ASrock monitor). It runs at around 31 at idle. That should be well inside the safe zone and will likely be less in real world applications like gaming etc, correct? Voltage is holding steady at 1.235.

I let it run for an hour @ 4.2 and I don't think it ever went over 72.

  1. Temperatures are nominal, a bit high though, but still in safe perimeters.

Your fine though, you could even try undervolting too for lowering temperatures.

Not like it will run that high during normal use too.
  2. That's no problem for that CPU.
  3. Yes, with normal usage, it will run even cooler.

little high but your good...i am currently running an experiment with a i7 920 @ 4ghz 80C under load for three years and counting...now i do not encourage such behavior but take my experience for what it is worth....generally i aim for 67C or less (my main build is exactly that)
