Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on this site so bear with me. I recently built my first gaming PC and am having difficulties getting it to play any games without crashing within the first 5-20 minutes. My system specs are:

MOBO: ASUS Maximus V Formula
CPU: Intel i7 3770k
Memory: 16gb dual channel G. Skill Sniper
PSU: OCZ 1000w Fata1ty
GPU: ASUS GTX 680
Storage: 1x Samsung 840 Series 120gb SSD
1x WD 1tb HDD
OS: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit
LG 5.25 Blu-Ray drive

Aftermarket CPU cooling and an additional 7 case fans

Additional programs I installed were Norton 360, Origin, Steam, MSI Afterburner and a generic CPU temp. monitor. I have not attempted overclocking yet as I am waiting on a larger case with better air flow to do so.

I checked, re-checked and checked again as well as re-installing every driver I could come across to ensure it was up to date. I also checked to ensure every component was function properly (PSU, CPU, GPU, Memory, Hard Drives) I even started windows in selective startup mode with every unnecessary program disabled and still games were crashing within the first 5-10 minutes. Also, I don't know if drivers are region coded as I currently reside in the UK and downloaded some drivers from UK websites to use on components purchased in America. Currently I am re-installing windows to see if that works. I don't have a RAID setup on my hard drives (not sure if this would be causing the issue) but I am trying to view every angle before I have to take it to a PC repair shop and spend more money. Oh also, every thing runs very smoothly until I start gaming when the crashes and errors occur (the games run amazing while the do run). Any help would be extremely appreciated and if additional information is needed let me know.

I have gotten 2 BSOD from playing Sim City 2013 and blizzard fatal errors playing Starcraft 2. Due to this I have only attempted these 2 games. Most of the time the the game freezes and loops that last tidbit of sounds continuously until I force restart my PC. I am working on screenshots at the moment.

It also appears that I have overlooked the timing of my memory. Not sure if this would be causing problems but I have not done this yet either.

Just set it to the XMP profile. Also, I ran two Burn in Tests, the first one resulted in a BSOD after 1.43 minutes and the second one passed with 0 errors. Windows is finalizing updates now then hopefully I can launch a game so I can post some screen shots.

Well now windows is failing to update on the configuring stage.

I began running prime95 to additional test's and this is the BSOD I got right away.

A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.

Technical information: *** STOP: 0x00000101 (0x00000000000000019, 0x0000000000000000, oxFFFFF880035615180, 0x00000000000000002)

Memory dump information

Stop 0x101 is vCore too low. You sure you're running stock settings on that CPU? Reset BIOS to default settings. If the problem continues you need to manually raise vCore or send the CPU back. It should run flawless on stock settings.

Stick thanks for attempting to help me on no information I greatly appreciate it. I managed to fix it by removing some of Asus's add-on's and by re-installing the GPU drivers. I'm new at PC building so I suppose that had something to do with it. Thanks again though!
