Hi all,

This is an HP DV9000 laptop that I have this weird issue with it lately. The LCD has turned all blue and the screen is very hard to read now, colors are messed up. I have tried many external monitors though as you can see in the following two pictures:

Screenshot 2

No matter what, the issue persists! It was so bad that I had to use "High Contrast White" theme that comes with Windows to make text readable a bit.

The weird thing is that when I VNC into this laptop (using it's IP address), it shows normal, colors are absolutely fine. See here:

Any thoughts? What can be the problem? I mean HP laptops are notorious for their graphic cards, but I guess if GC was broken then I should not in theory be able to see perfect screen when VNCing, so I guess it's not Graphic Card that's source of problem, right?

Well, it was working fine last week. I'm having this problem after a rainy night. The laptop was in my backpack and I'm not sure if rain got into it or night, so I don't know if updating Graphic Card driver would help! Would it?

if you think it's moisture that got into the unit - for sure your processor is toast - which has on-board video
