i need help to connect my moniter to my ps3 but i dont know if my moniter will connect to the ps3 i bought an adaper but that did not work i dont know why so i decided to get a cable but i dont know if it would work i dont want to spend 20 pounds for nothing

There is no reason why it shouldnt work i use my PS3 on my monitor all the time. What inputs do you have on your monitor and you said you bought an adapter but it did not work, can you please explain in more detail

Nope, you need HDMI connection for the PS3 to use a monitor, as it needs to transmit both video and audio.

You can use a DVI-2-HDMI adpater, but pot luck if it will work. You may need a special one that also allows you to connect the headphone audio out so that the adapter transfer audio and video through the HDMI.

i brought a cable dvi to hdmi and it works perfectly thanks for all the help the cable only cost me about 4 pounds
but the thing that worried me was when i turned my ps3 on for the second time the screen had green lines on it and it was working but i managed to fix you just need to take the hdmi cable form you ps3 out and put it in again

you dont need a special hdmi you just need the rca red and whit to 3.5mm jack and a headphone coupler and it should work like it does on mine
