Need a cable for my Laptop Hard Drive (to usb?)

Hoping your clever people can help.
I've dismantled my very old laptop (the motherboard was bust)
I believe the hard drive is fine so I'm hoping to connect to my new (working) laptop and see if there is anything off there worth saving.

Could you help with which cable i need. Don't need anything clever/expensive as I'll probably ditch it after.
I've been searching ebay but it's confusing, 22pin, 33pin, 40pin. 2.5 sata etc etc : )

Also any tips on how I need to position the hard drive (I've heard stories of shorting them?

Think this is my hard drive

Pictures below of my hard drive, as I've probably not articulated well.

  1. What you're looking for is an empty external drive bay, one that's IDE-compatible; something like these:

  2. Go with an enclosure and keep the disk as a backup device: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182143
