Comparing the 7970 card between Sapphire (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-100351...) and the Gigabyte (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvr797...) card. Does the Mhz matter?

Essentialy, 950 Mhz vs. 1 Ghz (Saph vs. Giga).

Thanks for the help!

Some, mhz is always important and speed related in one way or another. In this case though, you are going to see very little difference, would only be able to tell the difference by looking at benchmarks. Doubtful you would ever be able to tell the difference by using the PC.
If the price difference in the cards is less than about $50, I would opt for the Gigabyte card, but that is my personal preference of Gigabyte over Sapphire.

Great - that helps. The Sapphire is slightly cheaper, but the Gigabyte card cannot be overclocked (looked up reviews, that is my understanding).

Can the Sapphire be overclocked?
