Hi guys I need to know if its normal for the video cards fan be to be facing the pcie slot, additionally the slot itself is pretty close to the video card.
The PCI-E card is an ASUS PCE-N15.

Please specify what motherboard you have, and which slots are occupied. If the video card is in the slot closest to the cpu, normally the fan faces the other expansion slots. If that wi-fi card can't be placed further from the video card, you can get a usb wi-fi adapter.

Lol

Well to answer you yes its normal nothing to worry.
If the card is close to the pcie gfx card its fine, Just never block the GFX card fans.

look @ the pic

the small black slot goes in your pci wifi ASUS PCE-N15 card
and the next long black slot is for your pcie gfx card.

That means imomum's answer won't work, because that looks like a micro atx board with only one slot the video card can go in, and I'd say the Asus PCE-N15 would partially obstruct the video cards airflow. I use this USB wi-fi adapter, which should also work for you, though I don't know if it's really the best for the money:

Alternatively, you could look for a wifi card that runs on regular pci instead of pci express, and put it in that bottom slot.

You guyz love to make us do double work don't you?
posting problem without mentioning system config detail?

Don't worry im learning magic so soon I can give solution seeing your ID only :)
Ya as MauveCloud said the above solution doesn't apply in your case

What you need to do is get a pci wifi card which will go in the white long slot not the pcie

Something like this
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/tp-link-tl-wn851n-wireless-n-pci-adapter-10991895-pdt.html?srcid=198&cmpid=ppc%7egg%7eNetworking%7e10991895&istCompanyId=9a35962d-802d-4e67-9721-0a3328ca1f02&istItemId=itllmaxm&istBid=t
Hope this solves your problem.

Thanks

Thank you both for helping me, I don't mind getting a standard Pci card, but in the event i can't take back the PCI-E card(its a hand me down), is there something along the lines of a PCI-E extension cable that i can use?
