Just took apart a Custom Built PC to try to put in a new power supply, video card, HDD, and Heatsink. The PC worked before (with the MSI Motherboard, a DVD reader, and a 500GB HDD), and everything is connected as it was. The Motherboard is a msi 760gm-p34 fx. The only problem is that when it turns on, the MSI welcome screen goes up, then there is a beep, and a boot error appears, saying that no boot device is connected. We checked the CMOS and the DVD reader is recognized, but both HDDs (a 1.5TB and 500GB that was in it before) are not recognized. We double-checked the connections and everything seems fine. Any suggestions on getting this to work? Currently clearing the cmos to see if that solves anything.
Thanks for any help!

If I understand you correctly, you are using the same HDD as before to boot and have added a 2nd HDD for storage. Check in the BIOS that the original HDD with the O/S on it is set as the boot drive. They may be switched and the PC is trying to boot from the new empty drive.
