hey guys im building a $1000 budget pc i still havent decided which GPU to get, i researched alot and so far ive come with these that would be best perforamance for price

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202024&Tpk=7870%20xt&IsVirtualParent=1

ive read that this gpu is a cut down 7900 series because it uses a tahiti LE chip instead of pitcairn so it is much better in gaming than the usual 7870, the only problem is im having a lot of trouble finding it because everywhere ive looked so far they are out of stock. maybe i have no idea of what im talking about so please help

ive also come up with this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127696

this one is much more expensive at $290 but if it REALLY is worth it i guess i can put in the extra cash but no more, ive also found some 660 tis on ebay for $250 but they are the PNY ones, not sure if they are better or worse,

i plan to run these with a i5-3570k which im saving up for cause i still dont have the money, ive heard that the cpu isnt that important and i should go for a lower end cpu and it will still do good,

Which of these should i buy? should i go for a much cheaper CPU? or is this one really the best bang for the buck? any tips or any better graphics card for around the $250 budget would be really helpful, thanks guys !

The Tahiti LE chip WILL use more power than a 7905 since efficiency goes down with higher clock speeds with Tahiti, at least this is what TH said. That being said the 7950 still has overclocking headroom. My advice is get the Tahiti LE if you can but 7950 is the way to go. The 7950 out performs the 660 Ti (assuming that's what the second link is).

i plan on trying to find the 7870 xt because 7850s are a little pricy if you know what i mean haha, btw is the cpu im getting really worth the 220$? (i5-3570K) or should i get a cheaper cpu and will i get the same performance? im not gonna be doing any video editing or anything, i just want the build for pure gaming :)

You could get the 3450/70 for 30-40 cheaper. That will also allow you to get a cheaper motherboard. The money can then be put into something else e.g. GPU etc.

oh okay, i plan on using the money to buy an aftermarket heatsink just incase i dont want the cpu to overheat or anything
