I moved my computer and noticed a bit of display lag. I then checked CCC and my desktop properties. To my surprise I was at native but it was at 60hz. I checked my video drivers, they were up to date at 13.1. To be safe, I downloaded video card specific drivers from AMD and rebooted. Still, it will not display native at 120hz?!?!

I have a BenQ 2420T and an AMD 6950 2gb. This has never been an issue for me in the past. The DVI-in is connected to my video card. How can I get my monitor back to running @ 120hz?

edit: even more strange, I went into CPU-Z to check the graphics card: http://oi49.tinypic.com/zybp8m.jpg -- Does this mean windows does not recognize my GPU? What to do?

Solution
CPU-Z is showing you all the info that that program will show about a GPU because CPU-Z is really for CPU's. If you want more detailed info about your GPU may I suggest you download GPU-Z because that will show you all the info you need about the GPU in your system. You can get it here http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/ . No as has been said above make sure you have your DVI cable plugged into the correct DVI port on your 6950 only one of them is dual link and I think the dual link is the only one that will output at 120hz. Other than that I really can't say.
Right click desktop and go to "screen resolution", then click "advanced settings". Under the "Monitor" tab, you will be able to select what refresh rate to use. There could be a way to do the same thing in the CCC as well.

You may only be able to use one of your DVI-D ports, as it has to be the Dual Link DVI-D option, and the cable has to be dual link DVI-D.

It will not let me choose 120hz in the advanced settings.

I forgot to make myself clear. I know how to set my monitor to 120hz, I'm saying it won't let me set it to 120hz, just 60hz at native (this was not an issue before I moved my CPU). Refer to my edit: CPU-Z is not even recognizing the GPU which is strange; everything should be filled out in the parameters. Windows is not recognizing my GPU I think.

I have the exact same problem. My post can be found here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1942300/asus-matrix-280x-unable-give-120-144hz.html. I was searching for answers also and found this post: http://www.overclock.net/t/1234526/asus-7970-dcii-where-is-the-dual-link-dvi-switch. It seems that if that switch is set in the wrong direction it will not be able to give out 120Hz. Does anyone know if my GPU (ASUS Matrix R9 280X) has this too? I did find a switch (from the same place as shown in the forum linked above) that was set in the "wrong" direction. Could this be preventing me from using the Dual Link DVI?
