How to determine which SSD is compatible with my laptop?

I have the following computer --> http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?prodSeriesId=5186823&objectID=c03354596

How can I determine what kind of SSD can be used? Ideally I'd like to add a 128GB SSD to my system and keep my 500GB [strike]SDD [/strike] HDD in place, but someone told me this wasn't possible. However, given how much he and I both know about technology, I thought it would be a good idea to seek advice here. I'm hoping some sort of hybrid system is possible because 128GB won't be enough, using an external harddrive isn't a feasible option for me and I don't want to break the bank getting an over-sized SDD.

Thanks!

EDIT: Fixed my typo, which must have been a source of confusion. I would like to have 1 SSD and 1 HDD, but from the looks of it that won't be possible.

You mean you want to have 2 SSDs in your laptop. Unless you have a very special laptop don't think it can be done. You should look inside where the SSD is stored to see if somehow you have an extra slot for one (maybe cause yours lacks an optical drive, and you'd put one there).

Unless your laptop has two drive bays or can swapout the optical drive for a HDD then no. Your in luck, as Seagate have released SSHD hybrids for laptops from 500GB+, although not as fast as a pure SSD, it is claimed upto 3x faster than an HDD due to 8GB nand for most commonly used files. Not sure of your location, but NewEGG had them 750GB for $129 and eBuyer.com has them for £83.

Thanks for the replies. I'm currently in China, so let me see what I can find here similar to the hybrid drive mentioned. I might just also need to consider getting a larger SDD.
