I have a Windows 7 Professional SP1 PC and now various software is now complaining because a file, "dbghelp.dll" does not exist. When I go into the C:\windows\system32 directory, there is a dbghelp.dll.old file. If I copy the file into the same directory and try to copy it to be dbghelp.dll, it says that the file exists. A "dir /ah" does not show the file.
Next, when I go into Safe Mode, I can see the file is there.
Is there a cache that is protecting this file or something?
