out of curiosity what kind of hard drive are you using? are you sure its exactly one minute ? or is it just a few seconds? it could possibly be the hard drive spinning up from power save mode? is it waking from sleep mode?

then again you could be infected with some virus or malware or something along those lines if its in intervals like that then that's something I would look at leave network monitor up and next time it happens monitor incoming and out going data. if there are any unknown programs using your internet it would show there.

I am playing games like bf3 or any other one when this happens, though now days it happens even when i am browsing, it can be one minute, a few second, or sometimes so long that i have to restart the system. I dont think it has anything to do with the hard drive, i dont put my desktop into sleep mode.

FYI: My cpu runs at 55 C to 65 C at idle and around 90 C when i am gaming, that might be the reason.

Dude i am 14 and i was thinking of getting a corsair h80i but i am certainly not getting a new cpu as dad wont buy it and the h80i may not be compatible with future cpu's. Any thing else that i can do?

EDIT : Sry, it runs at a 95 C to 100 C when gaming

well those temps are pretty high .. get your self a can of air and blow out your heat sink have you adjusted the heat sink at all or removed it from the motherboard if so you need to re - apply thermal paste and brett is right run a hard drive test and see if it passes. its probably one of the other. and fyi the h60 is good but i would say unless your planning on like an h100i or something along those lines i would just get a cooler master 212 and call it a day .. as long a it will fit in your case it is a tall heat sink.
