I was browsing the web on my computer, when suddenly it conked out with an explosion and wouldn't turn back on.

I tested the power supply and it still works, so it would have to be a hardware issue?

When you checked your PSU, did you simply jump it with a paperclip and watch the fan or were voltages checked also? The fan working on a PSU is not a valid indication that all is well inside. I will suggest checking all the voltages from the PSU, I'm thinking you may have lost some power within the PSU. There are other possibilities, but that's my primary suspect. You might visually check the motherboard for obvious damage
