Activation of new windows 7

I have bought a genuine copy of windows 7 home pre from ebay imported from US to India. After I received the package there is a instruction on the package "licensed to distribute only in US and Canada. Now my question is can I activate it in India? Other wise this is a total waste. Please help
I am buying a custom pc and want to install it. So will it work?
Please help me...........
Thanks a lot for reply. But this is a genuine Home Premium 64bit factory sealed DVD. Paid around 7100 (INR) including customs.
Actually my problem is win7 is no longer available in india.

Windows 7 does not ship in any retail or OEM form on USB, you have been tricked into buying a non genuine Windows. How much did you pay for it?

Why would you do that. A genuine copy of windows 7 copy is a lot cheaper in India then the US.
Since you bought it already, might just as well try it.

Thought you said it was on a USB?

ANyway. Its probable its still a fake. Contact Microsoft on their site if you want to be sure.

Thanks! But this copy does not appear to be fake copy. Clean sealed box, coa barcode, part no, coa certificate sticker with hologram, microsoft level on dvd etc. is it possible to check it? because my custom pc is not ready yet for os installation.

I have finally installed this os in my custom rig in India and activated it online. It is a 100% Genuine Copy of Windows 7 and I have checked it also. There is no Geographic restriction in this os.
