Hi.
I live in India. My budget is maxx INR 7k.. so from a long time i am searching for a gpu..
so here is what i am getting..

1.SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD HD 7750 1GB DDR5 7750 for 6.5k
2.POWERCOLOR GRAPHICS CARD HD6770 1GB DDR5 128BIT 6770 for 5.2k!!!!

I hav a local psu of 16amps.. So i hav decided that if i get 6770 i would get a VS450 for 2.2k maybe....
What should i do.. i game at 1024x768.. will 6770 be able to handle future games atleast for mid quality???
If i go to MD computers , will the price be lesser than the net one???

Please reply ASAP

The 7750 should be fine. It doesn't even use a PCI power cable. The 7750 beats the 7750 in everything.

The 6770 is just a re-branded 5770. The link I posted with power shows the 5770. The 6770 is the SAME card. You can see game benchmarks for both cards on the same page.

@ op

Please look at the different games. as some favor on or the other. This should give you an idea.

if you want him to buy a corsair cx430 psu for safety then its better to go for 6770 as its cheaper than 7750 and same performance

While it should run as long as the power supply delivers what it say, It is a bit scary to see a "450" watt power supply with less power then my 300 watt one(22A). Is it a multi rail by any chance?

I am with ASHISH65 on the suggestion to get a new psu asap.

there's a guy i found yesterday on toms who was saying 7750/6670 cannot play todays games even on high at 720p and in two years it will not be able to play even on low. that obviously is not true right ? here's what he said.

Quote:
I'm just saying that low end cards dont last long, 7750 is a part of the current generation, and yet it is not that good when playing even in low settings!! and in medium settings it is out of the picture!!!
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/far-cry-3-performan...
by the end of next year it wont be able to play in low settings!!
i get your point that the card is not bad, it CAN play games in low settings.
but what I was saying is what will happen after some time!
if he gets a 6670 now he will have to get another low end card next year, and still play in low settings!!
but if he waits some time he will be able to play in high and THAT card will last 2-3 years, probably in medium settings.
and lets face it not everyone likes playing in low settings.

well i donot think so i have hd 7750 and games running at high-ultra 45-60fps @1368*768res(with some games aa to off).until now there is no single game in which i have to turn down the sett to medium..even though i have dual core so what happen if any one has quad core!

great example - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPgRP9UNiT8

yes i agree. even i have 7750 and it gives great performance in most games at 1440*900 without AA.
however what after 2-3 years ? will it still be able to perform ?

well yes atleast it will handle games at medium-high settings for sure for next 2-3years at 720p.(aa and af turned off)

there has been rumors that next year games are going to be more demanding though not sure.

And ashish,
next year there are high chances of graphics ramping up like crazy.
coz this year new consoles are going to come out.
but after 2 years i'm sure 7750 wont be able to play in low settings without the game looking bad.
and turning off AA is not that bad, but AF is very important and the game looks bad without it.

no one wants to say yes 100% because no one is 100% sure the power supply will deliver what it says.

So long as it does, It will work fine(and the 7750 DOES take less then the 6670).

The recommendation to get a better one in the near future is just insurance that your system will never have a failure from an overloaded power supply.

The power supply is like the heart of the system, so you want it to be strong and stable.
