I want to buld a high end computer that will play games well (I don't really play the most modern games) and will run music software smoothly.
Is this setup good?

Asrock z77 extreme4 mobo,

Intel i5 3570,

16gb DDr3 pc3-12800 1600mhz ram,

750watt psu,

1TB sata 600 7200 rpm 3.5" Hard Drive,

Radeon hd 6870.

no need for that big of a power supply, i would say a good 550 or 625 is more than enough, and why go with such a low end card? you said you want a high end computer to play modern games....that graphics card is not going to cut it. go for a 7870 xt if you can afford it, runs like 7950 if you oc a little and is a great bang for your buck

Motherboard - good choice :) got one of those in the post at the moment, really good for the price

CPU - intel i5 3570.. did you mean 3570k ? because that motherboard is quite good for overclocking, very easy. would really reccomend it, makes the most of your hardware.

RAM - 16gb is plenty! certainly futureproofing

PSU - dependant on what you plan on doing id say this is a good choice, this build could easily allow you to run dual monitors and as time goes on this is certainly a build that will be progressing i assume.. so if you can afford a psu that large now i would.

HDD - fair hard drive size, nothing really to go wrong, besides dodgy makes.. you can easily see them on amazon though with their poor ratings, just be careful where you buy it from.

Radeon HD 6870 - you certainly wont be bottlenecking!
id reccomend something atleast a little better, this EVGA GeForce GTX 650Ti is £99 this week.. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-202-EA&groupid=701&catid=1914

there is a new AMD Radeon HD 7790 out which is quite good for value

sounds like itll be a nice looking setup.. what case you going for?

I agree completely with xAdam. His advice is very good. In addition to what he says, and to reiterate other replies: you have a great build but a crappy graphics card. Step it up,… way up. Keep the 750 PSU. You never know when you might throw in another card in the future. Maybe you’ll win the lottery and want to throw in two Titans! Keep the 750 watts. The Extreme 4 screams for overclocking. Make sure a “k” appears at the end of your processor model.

You also say that you’ll use it for music software. If the music software is mixing software or editing software or creation software, then you’ll need a decent sound card.

The 650TI is rather weak - the 6870 with Catalyst 13.1 is a much better choice. Around the £100 - £130 mark the Radeon 7850 is the best choice, if you can increase the GPU budget the Radeon 7870 XT would be recommended.

Hi xadam thanks for the advice and I was thinking about getting this case http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110822555514?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649. Because It's cheap and comes with a PSU. So would u highly recommend the gtx 650 ti.
