PSU wattage required

I am planning to buy MSI radeon HD 7870 gpu
My configuration is
i5-3570k
intel DZ75ML-45K motherboard
Corsair vengeance 1600mhz 8GB
1TB seagate HDD 7200RPM
PSU is cooler master thunderbolt 500W
cooler master elite 430 cabinet

My question is whether 500w PSU currently i am having is enough or not..?
to be frank
i am not an overclocker, just i want to run games like BF 3&4 ,assassin's creed 3&4 , crysis 2&3 , COD blackops 2 @ ultra high settings and @ 1920*1080 resolution.
PLEASE HELP ME...! THANKS IN ADVANCE...

Yeah that PSU will do the job, recommended 500w power supply (card draws about 175w under load)

Hi,

500W will be minimum, but i don't think that your current PSU will be enough. You probably have only one 6 pin connector, while for 7870 you'll need two. Molex adapter is option but not recomended. I think that you are on edge with amps provided through your 12 rail (arround 32amp but you need to leave some room). As Brett said, most 500 watt PSU's should be fine for almost all single card setups. I couldn't find a 500w called the thunder bolt... is it http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6849 ?

If so you are rated for 400 watts or so on your 12 volt rails. I know my 3570k with a 7850 didn't use more than 230 watts even when I stressed everything with multiple benchmarks running (more like 160-175 while gaming). I wouldn't imagine the 7870 using much more power, so let's say more like 260. Even then it's still at only 65% of your rated capacity, which should be fine even for an entry level PSU like the one I linked.

Also, my wattage ratings I linked are from the wall, not how much the PSU is supplying.

ya sorry.. as u said it is cooler master thunder 500 (500w) which is same as mentioned in yours link above...
Alright no prblm with that PSU right..?

Everyone votes for Gigabyte version over MSI. Appears to run little cooler, quiter and can get better overclocking according to overclokers forum.
