Hey everyone, thanks for the help in advance; Here's my situation:
My games have become unplayable because every minute or so, my GPU will flip flop between 0% load and 99% very quickly (or anything in between), giving me about <10 FPS when I average way over 60 the rest of the time.
This happens about every minute, lasting for 20 secs then going back to normal. Occurs pretty much for every game, no matter how demanding. Also worth noting that this is a brand new graphics card (<1 week old).
Finally, here is my rig:
750w PSU
MSI 970 AM3+ mb
Athlon II X4 970 BE (Stock)
HD Radeon 7950 (Stock)
8gb RAM
This rig has been pretty stable for the past year and a half. This problem has been occurring for about a week, until I received and installed my 7950. I am pretty knowledgeable about this stuff and I asked for help from my even-more-knowledgeable friends but none could really help. Again, thanks for the help in advance; Lets crack this case pleaseeee. Here is a picture on Afterburner showing the crazy fluctuations every minute while running Dota 2 (Not super demanding):
