Hello, I want to ask about Noctua NH-D14 cooler.
I´m using CM Storm Trooper Window edition case, and i need to know if I install a big heatsink like Noctua will performance (temperature) of my GPU 7970 Lightning OC be decreased because i think that big heatsink will dificult airflow from rear and top fans.

I´m am a gamer and need best for my GPU.

Should i get the noctua? And i dont want to go watercooling.

Solution
The noctua actually helped cool my GPU's. It keeps the CPU cooler, and that prevents the ambient temp from rising as high in the case, which helps in keeping the GPU's cool. My GPU's dropped by like 5C. It is a big cooler, but it has both a 140MM and a 120MM fan that move a lot of air and it will do anything but prevent airflow.

The Noctua will not affect your video card, if you mount the heat sink with the fans blowing towards the rear the warm air will be directed towards the rear fan. Also if you have a fan mounted in the top it will also aid in removing warm air. You also have places in the side panel to mount fans so you should have no problems with temps.

this cools a little better for the money and looks nicer

the heatsink wont affect your GPU temps. its not like the lightning doesnt run cool enough

I need to put rear fan not to intake right. To push air out.

And top fan how to install intake or what?

Not at all , you have a full tower case with some impressive cooling options and the case comes with 2x 120mm front, 1x 140mm rear and a 200mm top fans with options for a lot more. If you add a 120mm side fan then you'll have a total of 360mm intake and 340mm exhaust so it will be just about balanced. You should think about adding the side fan because in that position it will blow directly onto the video card and give added cooling to it.

Using Scythe Fans 110 CFM. < 4Ryan turned me on to this type of setup with the Scythe Fans.
