Are these monitors the same ? Except ones 120 hz and the other 144 hz ?

I just ask the question if the specs are basically the same . I think except for one being 120 hz while the other is 144 hz . Anyway if this is the case, why is the 120 hz more expensive then the 144 hz ? Shouldn't it be the other way around ?

The 144 Hz is newer ..... at least that's my guess ..... things to get cheaper as technology matures.

The VG278H has a built in emitter and comes with the 3D Vision 2 glasses. The VG278HE is 144hz without a built in emitter and glasses. I've also heard they have slightly different color properties.

You should check out some reviews if you can find any on each particular monitor I remember reading that some of the asus's 27inch 3d monitors had some issue(s). I don't recall off hand what it was but that might be why the big price difference. i went with the 24 inch 3d 144hz monitors and they work good for me.

The issues I've heard about the VG278H have been about the emitter not turning on properly at times. Since the VG278HE doesn't have the emitter, it wouldn't have that issue, you'd be using a 3D Vision 2 kit instead.

Well perhaps that was the problem with them then i just recall a review that was talking about a problem. I went with 24's for the fact i can fit 3 side by side on my desk and i got them at 250$ CDN a piece which i thought was a steal

. I don't think i'd like having the emitter built in anyways since you would be stuck with it until you got rid of the monitor.
