Hi there,

I have four different internet routers/adapters spread through out the house and was wondering if there was a way to make them all one big connection, when you connect possibly be transferred to the strongest connection.

This would just be for convenience as when guests need to use the internet they never know which connection to use.

Yup make them all the same SSID.

The thing that sucks with windows is that it will choose the strongest signal and then never change until it gets very low then it will again pick the strongest signal. So you could be sitting right next to a AP and it will stay connected to a different AP taking lots of errors rather than switch.

You can adjust this point it switches but then you run the risk of it oscillating back and forth. The problem is it must renegotiates all the security keys even if it keeps the same IP address. This takes time and causes small outage every time it switches.

No good way to really do this in the consumer market. The commercial devices have a controller device that allows the APs to act as a unit and move ap to ap with no loss...kinda like a cell towers do.
