the setup i am looking at running would be 1 ssd drive for the os's and programs that will be plugged into 1 3gb/s port and i will have 4 3tb hdd's configured into either raid 5 or raid 1+0 each plugged into 4 6gb/s drives.
my question is am i able to put 4 storage drives into a raid and not include the os drive
and if i have the os drive plugged into a 3gb/s port, will anything i download through a my browser to a hdd on a 6gb/s port run at 3gb/s or 6gb/s
and if i do any type of media ripping on the os drive transfer to the hdd at 3gb/s or at 6gb/s?
i know it sounds somewhat confusing.
