I have MGI PhotoSuite 2000 which I have been using for over a year on my new Windows 7 computer. It just stopped working few days ago as did my Mircrosoft Works program. I use these nearly every day. Rapport was automatically installed on my computer 6 days ago. Could this have caused the problem?

It could be a number of things causing this. Have you installed any new software? Do you install Windows updates regularly?
The best thing you can try is to use System Restore - see here - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/system-restore
System Restore can restore programs and registry to previous point in time where it worked properly. I suggest you backup your important data that may be stored on C: disk before trying that (emails, bookmarks, desktop, settings from programs). Most of them, including desktop are stored in "AppData" folder (C:\Users\yourname)
