Can this graphics card work on my pc?

(I'm using google translator)

I want to upgrade my pc for a ATI Radeon 6670 (or better), but my friend told me that the ATI gpu "the pc must be built around this gpu". What I want to know is if I can buy this and when connected to the motherboard does not give me problems of incompatibility.

PC Specifications:
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 4200 + (2.21 GHz)
RAM: 3 GB
OS: Windows XP SP3 (I will not change for 7)
Motherboard: M2N MX SE PLUS
Current GPU: Nvidia 6150SE (comes with the motherboard)

If are needed more data, tell me

  1. Yes it will work as long as you have a decant power supply. What are the specs of your psu?
  2. Well it says it has a PCI-E 16x slot so you should be able to a VGA card. As long as the PS will support it. You might want to go nvidia since sometime AMD doesn't work as well with nvidia chipset.
