So after getting a GTX660ti from ebay i decided to play a game. I played bioshock infinite at ultra i start to get artifacts and my card crashes my screens goes blank and the fans turn down and it takes me to the desktop. In some cases i have to hard boot. I really don't want to rma the card.PS this only happens in full load or when i put the games on high
my specs:
amd athlon ii X4 630
4gb ram
600w psu
gtx 660ti
FOXXCONN 2A92 mobo

Solution
I think that is definetely your card problem. Unfortunately it can't handle stock voltage, and probably your other clocks are lower than it should be. Post a reading from GPU Z or furmark about memory clock and core clock but i think that you'll have to RMA it.

Well you meet the specs never heard of that maker of psu before so i can't really comment on how good they are. Have you tried alternate pci-e connectors on the video card? Make sure all your power connections into the motherboard are in and secure. If you happen to have adapter cables that come with video cards in case your psu doesn't have pci-e cables try them instead of the cable that may or may not be built into the psu.

Well unless you want to buy an actual power supply tester which would probably cost about the same or possibly more than a new psu I would say unplug absolutely everything from your computer that isn't necessary. Any extra USB devices, internal fans aside from your cpu fan, basically anything that is non necessary to test the game again. If it still does not play then I would take it in to a comp store and have them test it for you. Other than that i don't see another way aside from if you happened to know what your psu was putting out on each rail when it was new. Then you could use a multimeter to check if it was still putting out the same. Chances are its too close to the max output and when your video card goes into 3d mode and the clock speed and fans kick in its drawing too much so as failsafe it drops out.

Hi..
Do you know what is your GPU temp when on full load?

Run furmark burn in.. it will stress only GPU so you'll be able to determine is it GPU problem. Even that low-end PSU should run GTX 660ti only under stress. If temps go to high then it is possible GPU problem. Also, have you done some overclocking?

Seeing up top that you edited your post now to say you do have artifacts first changes my opinion a bit. Checking your gpu temps wouldn't be a bad thing to check on. Does your case have decent ventilation. Because it will kick you out for sure if the temps get to high to protect itself.

it has decent airflow but what are the safe temps for the card

As for temps I have no idea on that particular card might have to search it up on google to see if anyone else has asked that before.

What kind of test did you run? there is couple tests there? You should have run 1080p preset and then manual 1080p with anti aliasing on for about 20 minutes. Also score in 1080p 15 min preset is important plus errors if any. You may open GPU-Z to monitor your GPU voltage, it may be unstable because of that.
Please read gpu voltage under stress and post here so we could compare with stock values.
