I just found this site and I know NOTHING about motherboards, so I figured I'd ask here. My power supply went out and fried my mo bo in the process so I need to replace it. I have no idea what kind of mobo I can replace it with.
Since you own an HP system, the easiest would be to replace it with another Pegatron M2N68-LA motherboard (available on eBay and other sites). That way you won't have to reinstall the OS, figure out the wiring to a different motherboard, etc.
If you google for "Pegatron M2N78-LA motherboard", then you'll find a lot of good info, including suggested motherboards along with issues when using them (mainly wiring that needs to be modified).
