whats your opinions on the cheapest but most effective gpu to go with my q6700, 4gb ram??

doesnt have to be new gpus just any. i dont want to buy the wrong card and then find its being bottlenecked by the rest of it

any single GPU that you can afford, i had a Q6600 (at 4.05ghz) not a long time ago and it was running great with a 680 in about 10% slower difference over the 3770k (3.5ghz) performance with the same card

This thing will still handle any single gpu you'll throw at it... The only big factor is multithreading as newer cpu are more optimised on that point so in games like BF3 you maybe see some stutter when it load or save...

i recently got a hd 6850. i cannot overclock with my current motherboard. im getting pretty low frame rates though no matter what setting 28-35 in large open maps on bf3. it looks like my cpu is bottlenecking my card a bit because card usage gets to 70-80% while cpu hangs around 90-99%, ram on the other hand stays firm at 60% and i only have 3.3gb because of 32 bit operating system. doesnt that seem odd that my cpu is bottlenecking 3.3gb of ddr2?

if my gpu and ram is being bottlenecked by my cpu then that would be a complete waste of money

not the best answers. i should have mentioned i wanted to play bf3. i bought a hd 6850 and the cpu was a major bottleneck. anything over 20 players would result in under 30 fps and thats at all low settings.

that is a silly way to look at it because i would have wasted my money if i went more than a 6850. a 7750 would have suited this cpu best
