I have a USB pen drive that has completely locked me out. Currently there are some files on there but I can't modify anything on it anymore. I've tried formatting, tried deleting and adding files but same error message. I run W7 Ulitimate and a forum suggested the StorageDevicePolicies in RegEdit but I can't see this. I've tried various methods to format, CMD, Disk Manage and some software called Acronis (which is normally brilliant). Please help :??:

maybe i say something stupid, but worth the try.

Look if the usb stick got any physical switch, old ones used to have a physical switch for protect writes.
