I'm completely building a new PC but saving my old HDD.. I have a lot of games and programs installed in it..

All I want to know that whether i can swap the old HDD ( which had the games and programs ) into the new rig with the same OS and settings.. OR will there be any conflicts between the BIOS settings because of the motherboards being different...

Solution
This won't work a OS installs with a processor so if you take a HDD from a old computer it will not have the same HDD and the OS wont work. You need to install the OS on the HDD new. You can use the old HD but you cant use the OS already installed.
The BIOS is on the motherboard, not the HDD, so I don't think you'll have a problem with that. However, depending on how different the motherboards are, you might have some driver conflicts, and if you have an OEM copy of Windows, you'll need to buy a new license to go with the new motherboard.
