IBM Thinkpad T43 running Windows XP. I was following instructions to remove a virus. The instruction called for using msconfig to boot into safe mode in order to remove the virus. Now, the pc just boots to the list of drivers being loaded, then produces the blue screen with a message. (It does not stay open long enough to read.) Because it isn't booting, it shows the screen with options for booting. No matter what I choose, it boots as if to safe mode, then repeats itself. I have the install CD. How can I change MSCONFIG without being able to get windows to boot?
