Hi guys, I know this question might have been asked before but when searching for a graphics card under $250 a few pop up. I was initially looking for one below $200 or even below $175 (GTX560 or Radeon 7770). But since my cpu, memory, psu are already of higher performance scale (hope I'm correct) it'll only be wise to spend a little xtra and grab me a better mid-high or high end card if I can.....not exceeding the $250 limit of course.....

My system is as follows:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition CPU, ASUS M5A88-M mobo, CORSAIR Vengeance 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM, Cooler Master Hyper TX3 CPU-cooler, Cooler Master HAF-912 case, Thermaltake 700W modular PSU.
I currently have a Quadro FX 4800 (did a lot of graphical work) but it's not a dx11 card so can't play latest games like Crysis3

What do you recommend?
All help appreciated (preferably shop at amazon or newegg)

(I'm gaming a lot -not hard core but want to be able to play all games, not necessarily high frame rates but at 1920x1080 for sure....)

I would recommend you AMD Radeon HD 7870 XT (with Tahiti LE arch). But here is a simple overall performance (based on FPS) comparison of some GPUs that is suitable to your budget:

AMD HD 7870 XT (~$230) > Nvidia GTX 660 (~$200) > amd hd 7850 (~$165-180-- 2gb models can be slightly more expensive) > Nvidia GTX 650 Ti Boost (~$160--2gb models are slightly more expensive)

And goes on like this. There is a good card for almost all budgets at the moment. If you can go a little higher on budget you can get a Nvidia GTX 660Ti or AMD HD 7950 and these are better than the cards i listed. Don't forget, these prices can change and/or you may actually get a good rebate somewhere.

HD7870 XT definitely sold-out.....is 7870Xt just an oc'ed 7870? Or something different like GTX650Ti boost is different from GTX650Ti
So you're saying with GTX650Ti Boost i will be able to play all current AND upcoming titles?
