The seagates use 512byte emulation and suffer a performance hit plus they are not compatible with many versions of hyper-v.

The WD re's are OEM drives and not sold to consumers. WD usually wont even recognize theres a warranty on the drive since they didnt sell it to you and typically you have to go thru whomever you bought it from. Thats not a problem here with Newegg (yet) but with a 5yr warranty I wonder what resellers will do in the years after these drives are no longer made.

I would still recommend the RE's over the seagate any day. The seagate might say its an enterprise drive but if thats true its very low end 'enterprise'. Maybe they say its enterprise because it still supports NCQ? LoL
