I have a Sony Vaio SVE14A1AJ and I cannot seem to figure out what the CSEL requirement is for the laptop. I am looking to install a new optical drive in order to upgrade to Blu Ray. If anyone knows the answer to this i would appreciate it.

Not sure what CSEL is? Cable Select wouldn't apply to SATA devices. From what little I can find on the SVE14A1AJ Model Number, it's an i5 processor?

You should be able to swap your existing DVD drive with a Blu-ray one fairly easily. As long as your laptop has the processing power (if it's an i series processor - no problem there), and if the screen supports HD, then you just need the right size Blu-ray drive and the software to play Blu-ray movies.

Most laptops will use one of two standard size tray drives (Standard or Slim), or slot load. On the tray drive, there's a faceplate that matches the exterior of the laptop that can be removed and re-attached to the replacement drive.
