I currently have a system set up and running Win7 Home Premium OEM; if I upgrade the system to Win7 Pro using the Anytime Upgrade program, can I then turn around and use the original Win7 HP OEM disc and install it on a new system. Since both systems would have a different version of Win7 with different licenses, it seems possible. I have not been able to find a reference to this question online so I'm hoping someone can give me a definitive answer

True enough; but in the past (with WinXP, anyway) I was able to get Microsoft to manually provide activation when I used my copy of XP (retail version) on my newest home-built system; I just told them that the original system's motherboard died, and they gave me a new activation. Wouldn't the same thing work here as long as I don't try to use the same license on two different computers?

No. You're paying less than full price for the Pro upgrade because you've already paid for the Premium license. You can't "recycle" the Premium license because you're using it to "pay" (in part) for the Pro license.

(Keep in mind "legal", "ethical", and "possible" are three different things.)

To put it in common words....

If you trade-in your old vehicle to get a new one cheaper -- the equivalent of using the Anytime Upgrade program -- you don't get to keep the original vehicle to drive around.
