I'm trying to purchase a laptop with the specs I want including windows 7 but to no avail.

Would anyone know how difficult it is to take windows 8 out/uninstall from your laptop and install windows 7?
OR how much something like that would cost or if it is even worth it?

I'm at a loss here...not sure what to do..recommendations?
Thank you

Why do you not want Windows 8? Have you even tried it or are you going off the hype of people who rant about online?

If you don't like the tile interface, install classic shell, it's free, gives you back a start button, boots directly to the desktop, removes the charms corners and basically makes it look like Windows 7.

Windows 8 is here to stay, Windows 7 will eventually loose support, your laptop maker probably doesn't have Windows 7 drivers even available which means hunting down drivers, and paying $100 or more for a copy of Windows 7.

Yes, it is from the 'hype' b/c I have not used it yet. I am just worried that b/c it is fairly new that glitches will be found and corrected and I will be stuck with a mediocre operating system.
I have been leaning towards at least trying it within my warranty period to give it a shot....but am still nervous.
Thank you for the advice :)
