Dedicated Physx question...

This is pretty stupid, but I haven't a clue about it. I currently have a MSI 660ti card in my pc, along with an EVGA 550ti. I have the 550ti dedicated to Physx, but it isn't connected to my monitor, which is my TV. I only have my 660TI connected via HDMI. What I am wondering is, do I need to have them both connected to my TV through HDMI to get the effects that the 550TI is doing, or do only one of them need to be connected? This is probably obvious, but I wasn't sure if somehow the motherboard sent the graphics that the physx was processing to the 660TI so that it would be displayed. Sorry for any confusion, and thanks to all.

Solution
The PhysX card does not require to be connected to anything but the PCIe slot. Just plug it in, and assign it to be the dedicated PhysX card in the Nvidia control panel. If a game uses GPU accelerated PhysX, that card will do calculations to help the primary card render the frame.
