replace my graphics card

i have an integrated graphics card, but the graphics card i bought inst detected by my PC. any ideas as to what i can do? my operating system is windows 8 and the new graphics card is nividia geforce 650 ti boost. ive tried installing it but othergraphics card prevents me from seeing anything on my monitor
 
Solution
depending on your motherboard when you boot press either del or f12 (it should tell you during boot.) Then depending on your bios, there will be a setting under basic settings.

how do i get into basic setting under bios, it doesnt have the option on windows 8
